Are You A Good Leader?

PART 1

As a good leader never reprimand an employee where other employees or company's customers can overhear you. Take the offending employee into your office or to the meeting room. Or have another person tell the employee you want to see them in your office.

Calmly let the employee know what the offense or mistake is. Suggest a solution or a course of action. Tell the employee, "This coversation is justbetween you and me."

If it is at all possible, after the office door is open, shake the employee's hand just outside the door.

This way the other employees don't know if you were reprimanding or complimenting the employee.

You will retain the respect of the employee.

PART 2

As a leader in an MLM or Affiliate Program never post your gripes on the program's Bulletin or Forum Boards. Use the program's or company's leadership e-mails for these postings.

Never post reprimands against any other member on those boards either. If you feel the need to make a comment, use the employee's e-mail. Always suggest a remedy or course of action to take.

As a leader, remember some of the new prospects, may access the program's boards, and read the postings to see if there are difficulties or member unrest among the ranks. If they see lots of bashing, reprimands or enmity among members, they will not join. This hurts you and your downline members.

If you are having trouble with an e-tool, post that to the board so the sysop or board manager can give you help on the problem. If you encounter a problem, other members may too.

If you see a member's posting about a problem and you know the solution, post a follow-up and tell him or her how to solve it. If your solution disagrees with an already posted answer by the board manager, contact the manager and suggest your alternative. Good managers will welcome any help you can give them. If the person posting the difficulty is in your downline, privately e-mail your solution.
